OCTANA PEN STAND from initial idea to prototype

The brief of the project was to design a pencil stand prototype that incorporates characteristics of both flora and fauna. An octopus formed the basis for my design. Pencil holders are located between the grips, and a larger area in the centre of the stand is designated for larger markers. The early concepts and illustrations have been simplified, and the tentacle suction cups are now represented by a single circle. The stand is intended to have the symmetrical shape of an octopus with its tentacles coiled under itself.
For 3D printing was choosen two tone colour filament which can give to print unique effect - combination of red and black colour.
