OCTANA pen holder project - 3D printed prototype

The brief of the project was to design a pencil stand prototype that incorporates characteristics of both flora and fauna. An octopus formed the basis for my design. Pencil holders are located between the grips, and a larger area in the centre of the stand is designated for larger markers. The early concepts and illustrations have been simplified, and the tentacle suction cups are now represented by a single circle. The stand is intended to have the symmetrical shape of an octopus with its tentacles coiled under body.
